With over 35 years’ experience in Management and Marketing, Mark (Managing Director) has amassed a huge wealth of knowledge and experience in every aspect of business, which he now applies to help owners, directors and senior managers grow their businesses. His passion and aptitude to disseminate his acquired knowledge makes him recognised as one the South’s leading and respected Business Coaches, Mentor and Leadership & Management Trainer.
Since the early 80s, Mark has held several senior management roles from managing 1200 strong workforce in mining, French global organisational responsibilities with auto refining and commercial products, Dutch global organisational responsibilities also within the auto refining and commercial products to sales and marketing responsibilities for US giant, General Motors in car and van franchising networks and volume fleet sales from 1988. In 2013, he reached the pinnacle of his corporate marketing career, being awarded the status of Chartered Marketer, building upon his professional qualifications in both Business and Marketing disciplines and having gained supreme expertise of cultural geographic business understanding from living and working in Wales, Scotland and England.
The move from corporate to SMEs, National, International and Global began when Mark was requested to help with a handful of business start-ups in a variety of sectors. Maintaining involvement in some of these for a number of years and through two recessions, he experienced both the highs and lows of running small businesses, adding further to his knowledge base.
Today, Mark is actively involved in assisting businesses grow with the assistance of government funding programmes, specialising particularly where help is needed with people, processes and planning. Having observed over the years how these general areas can and do constrain growth, Mark has established a new Company, Be Connected Limited that trades as Business Step Up, to focus his talents where he believes the need is greatest to assist businesses to ‘step up’ to the mark and increase their business in the market place.
Geographically: Mark has gained extensive business expertise and knowledge whilst living in Scotland, North Midlands, London, Kent, Bournemouth, Dorset, Southwest and Wales
